Winter Schools, held by School of Physical Sciences, the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), offer fundamental classes on pioneering themes to foster creative researchers in Asia. The Winter Schools at Institute for Molecular Science (IMS) have received more than 330 students in the last six years from Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and other East Asian countries. The forthcoming Winter School is intended for advanced undergraduate and graduate students as well as young researchers in Asian countries who study molecular sciences including photo, materials, and theoretical molecular sciences. Two special lectures on Fusion Science, and Space and Astronautical Science are planned. In addition, two oral sessions by selected participants and JASSO-JENESYS members as well as poster sessions are programmed to promote friendship among the participants. Anyone who is interested in this school is welcome to participate.
